How would you explain your job to someone who doesn’t know VFX?
Imagine an actor standing in front of a green screen, and we need to place them inside a futuristic spaceship or on another planet. As a visual effects compositor, my job is to take all the different elements like backgrounds, 3D models, and green screen footage and seamlessly blend them together. I make sure the lighting, shadows, and special effects all match up so it looks like everything was filmed in the same place, creating a believable final scene.
What does a day in the life look like?
I start my day by reviewing the status of my current shots and prioritizing any tasks that need immediate attention. Then, I spend the day collaborating with a talented team of artists, leads, and supervisors to ensure the work we deliver meets our high standards. It’s a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and communication are key to making sure everything comes together seamlessly
What are some of your favorite projects? Why?
Every new project I work on becomes my favorite because each one brings new challenges, opportunities to grow, and collaboration with a talented team. Every movie or TV show is a collective effort, and I approach each one with the same level of passion. That said, one of my favorite projects was Supacell. It was a great experience because of the complex visual elements we worked with, and the opportunity to contribute to such a high-caliber project really stood out in my career.

What's something you wish people knew about what you do?
I wish people knew just how much attention to detail and collaboration goes into visual effects compositing. It’s not just about making things look good; it’s about making everything blend seamlessly, so the audience believes what they’re seeing.
What is something that excites you about your career?
What excites me about my career is that I truly love what I do, so it never feels like work. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to be creative, which keeps things fresh and exciting. Being able to see my work come to life on screen and knowing I’m part of a team that creates something special makes every project feel like a passion rather than just a job.
Are you learning anything new?
I’m always learning, both on the job and in my personal time. At work, I learn from my talented team, picking up new techniques and collaborating on creative solutions. Outside of work, I’m focused on improving my skills by learning Python and exploring Unreal Engine. I also dedicate time to personal projects where I can fully express my creativity and experiment with new ideas.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to stay active by going to the gym and unwind with some gaming. I also enjoy socializing with friends and meeting new people. In addition, I make time for learning new things, whether it's picking up new skills or exploring new topics that interest me.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to embrace challenges and keep pushing forward. Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone.
